Frequently Asked Questions |
How do I submit a revision of a paper?
TCAS-II does not encourage a submission of a revised version unless the
revisions are minor and does not need to be reviewed again. If, after the first
round of review, the referees suggest substantial revisions, the paper should
be resubmitted as a new submission. For resubmission
with minor revisions, use the submit paper button and not the deposit
postscript button. Your paper will be given a new number. You'll be asked
about the old number, and this will link your revision to the original
manuscript.
What happens after I send in the final manuscript
Accepted and finalized manuscripts are shipped to IEEE for production. A list
of the 'closed' TCAS-II issues is posted
on the WWW, so that you can verify that your manuscript was sent to IEEE.
Thereafter, all communications regarding the manuscript in production should be
done with the IEEE - CAS Office (Erin Bise, E-mail: manager@ieee-cas.org).
Do I get an acknowledgment from the Editor's office that my paper was
received?
Yes, an email acknowledgment is sent when a complete final manuscript is
received by the Editor-in-Chief. It is preferable to use express courier (e.g.,
Federal Express) that can provide you with the delivery date.
Which reviews can be entered using the WWW?
Only reviews of the papers logged into the new database, i.e., having a control
number of 1, 2 or 3 digits.
Who is my Associate Editor? What is the status of the review?
You can access this information using the WWW if you are a registered user. Go
to 'Start page for Authors', select the paper and click on 'Check Review
Status'.
I could not get into the system because I do not know the password. What
can I do?
If you are a new user, you should click on the registration form to select a
password.
I do not know if I registered in the past. I forgot. What can I do?
Go to the registration form and check if you are on the list of registered
users.
I am a registered user, but I forgot my password. What can I do?
Please send an email to tcas1.polito.it
requesting that the password be reset.
